"Kim Wilde" is the eponymous debut studio album by English singer Kim Wilde, released on 29 June 1981 by Rak Records. The songs on the album were all written by Kim's father, the successful 1950s rock and roll singer Marty Wilde and her younger brother Ricky, who also fulfilled the production duties.
Most of the music was played by the then current line-up of the symphonic rock band The Enid. "Kids in America" was the song that signalled the start of Wilde's career: in its first eight weeks of release, the single sold more than half a million copies in the UK alone.
