Vin Downes is a composer and fingerstyle guitarist who has released four studio albums, two of which were recorded and produced by Will Ackerman (Grammy Award winning guitarist/producer and founder of Windham Hill Records) and award winning engineer/producer, Tom Eaton.

He performs nationally as a soloist and as a member of “The Gathering – A Concert Series presented by Will Ackerman” and “Will Ackerman Presents – Four Guitars”.

Downes’ music has ranked in the top 10 of the ZMR Radio Airplay Chart and reached #1 on the One World Music Album Chart. He was a ZMR nominee for Best Instrumental Album - Acoustic in 2015. His music can be heard on radio stations worldwide.

He has written, recorded, and performed music with musicians including Will Ackerman, David Crosby, David Cullen, Tom Eaton, Eugene Friesen, Tony Levin, and Michael Manring.

Vin Downes earned a B.A. in classical guitar and music education from William Paterson University. He has been an award winning public school music teacher in New Jersey since 1995.
