COMMENT
Sourced from a couple of audience-made tapes still in good shape, this release is a
significant improvement sound-wise over the formerly existing "Partyman" double CD-R,
which happened to be incomplete (several minutes from the final jam were missing) and
most probably "lossy" (i.e. mp3-sourced).
The taper's constant changing of location during the concert results in fluctuating
sound levels, which was sometimes difficult to repair. Several tape glitches were
corrected, however both "Take Me With U" and "Do Me, Baby" are cut-in on the original
tapes, therefore the complete intros to those songs are still missing (and will
probably remain so forever, unless a new, different tape surfaces).
We preferred to keep the general sound of the recording "as is", only using the minimum
amount of effect to make it more enjoyable.
Prince and the band are in a terrific form, and deliver a great show. Now it's yours!
Peace, PurpleYoda, BLR & M!les
